AND THE BIRDS CAME AND ATE IT UP

 “Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Mk 4:3-4.

Imagine a farmer bought some seeds for planting, then went out to sow them. As he was just scattering the seed on the ground for planting, for the seed to germinate, then the birds came and immediately ate it up. They didn't even wait for the seed to germinate before eating them, they ate up the seeds as it is falling to the ground.

Some shallow-minded people would just say or think, so! it just a bird. Birds are made to eat seeds, it is part of their food. But they do not know that it is not an ordinary bird it is the enemy that came in form of a bird to eat up the seed. So that it will not sprout and grow. And these are seeds that are made to bring forth large produce when left for a longer period to germinate.

What is a Seed? Seed is defined as a unit of reproduction of a flowering plant, capable of developing into another such plant. You can see the dictionary definition of the plant as the unit of reproduction, So, what the bird came to eat up is the reproduction, so that the seed can not ever reproduce, but be dead, swallowed, and not bring forth its kind of another plant.

Another interesting dictionary definition of the seed is a man's semen. you are aware, that you and I are begotten from a man's semen. It is that semen that the bird came to eat up. So that your semen will not be mature and reproduce another offspring. So that when you are trying to plant a seed of your kind into your wife, the bird will come as an invisible being to swallow up every semen that will be deposited into your wife's body. (I am married and by the help of the Holy Spirit, I am permitted to speak in this area). So, when, you are trying to plant that child that will become a star, a prophet, a prophetess, a genius, a saint that will take the family name into a dynamic dimension that God has proposed for the family, which the parent can't attain because of the circumstances beyond their physical control, the bird will come as a spiritual force to fight that semen, to destroy it, kill and bury it. And it will end up with the name “miscarriage or stillbirth or even death after birth”.

I have seen a woman that delivers and less than a week, we went to greet her and the baby that was born without any complications, when we will get home to see the child, the mother told us the child was dead and no one, I said no one knows the cause of the baby's death. Some children will get to a certain age and later die with little or no sickness, some are through an accident that the bird will come and eat them up. And one will be wondering what is going on, how come? Not knowing an enemy has come as a bird to destroy the destiny of that seed would have become something special from God. A one-month pregnancy miscarriage is painful, how much more the one of a few months old, talk less of a child that has come into the world and later, he/she is no more because the wicked enemy came as a bird.

Who is the bird, “Satan”. Satan is the enemy that came in form of a bird to be eating the seed which is the word of God that is planted in our lives so that the word will not grow like a seed in us to become different things that God wanted us to be.
 Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable? The farmer sows the word. Some people are like seeds along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them. (Mk 4: 13-15) NIV

You can see how Satan operates, He didn't want us to hear the word of God which will become life in us and mature into something big and special. And Satan is a deceiver will not come in the way for you to quickly recognize he is Satan and start binding him. He always comes with deceptions. He came as a bird, one will just look at it and say is a just bird, allow the bird to eat some seeds, you didn't know that it is Satan that came as a bird and quickly ate many seeds and he can before you will release it. Remember Satan came as a serpent to Eva. And you all know the story that follows the visitation of Satan to Eva. We all are still suffering it till today.

He has told himself if he comes as a serpent again the sower would know and kill it immediately so that he would not achieve his enterprise to the seed, that is why he came as a bird so that the sower would not know it was Satan that comes. He will think it is an ordinary bird. That is how Satan comes in different forms to eat what belongs to us. And we will be suffering without realizing it is Satan that is operating behind the scenes.

I pray that God will give us the right wisdom we need to discern the enemy's tactics when things are happening the way we don't like around us. Jesus said to his disciples don't you understand the parable? Meaning if they don't understand that parable it will be difficult for them to understand other parables. Likewise, we humans, some things are happening in our lives and we don't understand it. It only takes the grace of God for us to discern, that this is an enemy's attack. And some kind of people will never believe the theory or the philosophy of an enemy behind that problem.

The enemy came as a bird to eat up the seed that represents the word of God in us sown by Jesus Christ that eventually would become the word of God that will be transformed to be that child, with a special destiny to be the light in the family, to be our graduation, to be our new job, to be our new home, to be our answered prayers, to be our husband/wife, to be our visas and to be that contract or anything good made by God you can think of. That is what Christ is planting in us daily but Satan always makes sure, it didn't grow and remember the bible says in Jn 1:14 and that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

Christ has spoken his word as a seed in us to better our lives but the devil always snatches it from us, so that it will not grow or germinate. But this time around, the devil is a liar, we have known the truth, the word of God will grow in us and we will become what God wants us to be in Jesus' name's Amen.

Prayer Points:

1. Evil bird stealing the word of God in our lives, catch fire in Jesus's name.

2. Seed that will germinate to something good in my life be protected by the blood of Jesus and grow in Jesus name.

3. My good seed will germinate and the devil will not eat it up.

4. I cover all my good seeds with the blood of Jesus.

5. As my children are my seeds, they are covered with the blood of the Passover lamb in Jesus's name.
