I WILL ENTER THE BATTLE IN DISGUISE

So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead. The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I WILL ENTER THE BATTLE IN DISGUISE, but you wear your royal robes.” So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.  2Chron 18: 28-34 (NIV)

Now the king of Aram had ordered his chariot commanders, “Do not fight with anyone, small or great, except the king of Israel.” When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought, “This is the king of Israel.” So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him. God drew them away from him, for when the chariot commanders saw that he was not the king of Israel, they stopped pursuing him.

But someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the breastplate and the scale armor. The king told the chariot driver, “Wheel around and get me out of the fighting. I’ve been wounded.” All-day long the battle raged, and the king of Israel propped himself up in his chariot facing the Arameans until evening. Then at sunset, he died.

This is how some people usually walk into their death out of obduracy and mulishness. Despite the warnings by the prophet of God not to venture for that battle but he remained headstrong and adamant to go to the battle. Why was that, because of wickedness. Because he wants to kill people at all means, in the name of a hard or wicked King and he did not know too that God has decided his end. For the bible said,(vs19 The Lord said, ‘Who will trick King Ahab of Israel into attacking Ramoth in Gilead where he will be killed?’') NCB.

He was planning other people's death, and he did not know that God was also planning his own funeral. So that he will go to that battle and never return. Why was that, because his intention of going into that battle is wrong. Despite all the warnings from Prophet Micaiah.

Prophet Micaiah told him that he saw in a vision the soldiers of Israel lying on the field. That means all the soldiers that will go with him to that battle will eventually die. Still, he didn't budge. Not even minding that the soldiers are people's husbands and fathers, all he considered was his selfish means. V16 (So Micaiah answered, “I saw the army of Israel scattered over the hills like sheep without a shepherd. The Lord said, ‘They have no leaders. They should go home and not fight.’” )

That's what is happening in the world today. People with wicked and selfish means and greed entering into people's life to destroy them so will come as friends, so will come as relatives some come as side chicks, some will come as ex-boyfriend/girlfriend even these categories are more deadlier when come because they came to kill and destroy your marriages and come. And they always like wolves in sheep clothing. And some will wickedly come as scammers to finish your finances sending their victims or venerable people to early graves, ICU(intensive care units), or totally heartbroken.

At times, they will look for an accomplice or an escort that will escort them to do the havoc, some of the escort(ers) will know their intention or mission and still follow them to do the destruction. But, some of them will not have any idea of where they are escorting them to, and end up in big trouble or even meet their death.

That was what happened to King Jehoshaphat who accompanied King Ahab to battle. King Ahab being a wicked and deceiver told Jehoshaphat to wear his royal apparel and he will go in disguise so that no one will recognize him because he knew that the king of the Aram will come after him as well and he told his in-law, King Jehoshaphat, to go on his royal robe while he the king that has attracted trouble for himself and the soldiers of Israel should go in disguise, despite all warnings.

Mind who you accompanied to venues and locations or travel with, cos some journeys are meant to take your life without you knowing it. Some journeyings are made to target you that accompany's another person. Be careful of who you follow out. Thank God that King Jehoshaphat is a man that fears God and serves God. If not that would have been the end of his life all the name of visitation to his in-law's place. King Jehoshaphat cried out to God and God saved him, from the deceptions of King Ahab, May God saves us from every plan of the enemies.

King Ahab thinking he is so clever and vicious decided to go to the battle in disguise but he never knew an instruction has been given by the opponent King against him. That they should not fight anyone small or big, important or unimportant except the king of Israel. (Vs 30 The king of Aram ordered his chariot commanders, “Don’t fight with anyone—important or unimportant—except the king of Israel.”) His gods and his confidence left him to and face the consequence of his stubbornness and the destruction from the Lord vs19. And it happened as someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the breastplate and the scale armour.

God made sure he directed the arrow at the place it hit him very well to fulfill the word of the lord. To me, the someone that drew his bow at random is the angel of the lord that was sent to supervise the battle to make sure that the destruction of the lord got him even though he went in disguise.

My dear, don't worry, God knows that person fighting you in disguise, God knows that power afflicting you in disguise, God knows that power fight you in disguise, God knows that persons manipulating you in disguise. You may not know them because they are working against you in disguise, but the almighty God knows them. And one day he will send someone (his angels) to draw his bow at random against them. And you will be delivered from their torment and affliction.

King Jehoshaphat was saved from death because he called upon the name of the Lord. Call his name and he will surely save you, no matter how intelligent, the people planning against you are, God will surely save you from their hands in Jesus' name. Amen.

Prayer points:

1. Any man or woman fighting against me in disguise may the angels of God draw their bows at random against them in Jesus' name.

2. Oh God save me from any deceptions in Jesus' name.

3. Arrows assigned to kill me in disguise, kill your owner in Jesus' name.

4. Any person planning to kill me in disguise, die before me in Jesus' name.

5. Anyone befriending me in disguise to kill, may the arrows that goes at random locate them.
