Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a severe hailstorm. (Rev 11:19) NIV
Hallelujah, glory be to God for this revelation! What an open revelation! God is still revealing the uniqueness of His temple and the power of the ARK OF HIS COVENANT. The word of God said, the temple of God in heaven was open and the powerful ark of the Lord was seen and behold. and the power behind the ark began to manifest and display the powerful glory of the God of heaven. By sending forth flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a severe hailstorm glory to God.
Meaning that the glory of God that rested on the ark of the covenant of God during th, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before te era of Moses, the servant of God was still in existence till the time of John the apostle of Jesus Christ in the book of revelation. The same power behind the ark of the Lord in the time of the old is still present till now, and it's more and more powerful.
God is the same as yesterday, today, and forevermore. His power behind the ark of the covenant is still present and active.
Even, the Philistines that thought they can capture it and put it in their Dagon temple were massively disgraced and dealt with. They took the ark of the covenant and put it in their Dagon temple. They never knew, they made the greatest mistake of their lives. Because the power behind the covenant ark of the Lord began to rumble against them by bringing the heavy hand of God against the Dagon and their entire nation.
After the Philistines had captured the ark of God, they took it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. Then they carried the ark into Dagon’s temple and set it beside Dagon. When the people of Ashdod rose early the next day there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! They took Dagon and put him back in his place. But the following morning when they rose, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! His head and hands had been broken off and were lying on the threshold; only his body remained. That is why to this day neither the priests of Dagon nor any others who enter Dagon’s temple at Ashdod step on the threshold.
The Lord’s hand was heavy on the people of Ashdod and its vicinity; he brought devastation on them and afflicted them with tumors. When the people of Ashdod saw what was happening, they said, “The ark of the God of Israel must not stay here with us, because his hand is heavy on us and on Dagon our god.” (ISam 5:1-7)
The same ark of the Lord that brought disaster to the Philistines, was the same ark that give the Israelites huge confidence when they were fighting with their enemies (the philistines). When they saw that, they were being defeated, they requested that the ark be brought to them for they knew the significance of the ark and the mighty power of God behind the ark of the covenant.
When the soldiers returned to camp, the elders of Israel asked, “Why did the Lord bring defeat on us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Shiloh, so that he may go with us and save us from the hand of our enemies.” (1Sam 4:3)
When the ark of the Lord’s covenant came into the camp, all Israel raised such a great shout that the ground shook. Hearing the uproar, the Philistines asked, “What’s all this shouting in the Hebrew camp?” 1Sam 4:5-6)
You can see the, so much happiness and joy in the camp of the Israelites, even the ground shook meaning there was an earthquake because they realize that, the Ark of the covenant of the Lord has come. They knew what will help them to fight against their enemies is with them on the battlefield.
When they learned that the ark of the Lord had come into the camp, the Philistines were afraid. “A god has come into the camp,” they said. “Oh no! Nothing like this has happened before. We’re doomed! Who will deliver us from the hand of these mighty gods? They are the gods who struck the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the wilderness.
Undermining the Lord is not with them on the day of that battle because of their sin. And if not that the anger of the Lord was against them, they would have won the battle. The bible said, the earth shook, the same earthquake that God revealed in the book of Revelation 11;19 was the same earthquake that occur in (1Sam 4:5).
The power of the Lord is still in Ark of the covenant; and very powerful, no one goes near the ark because if you do, it might strike you and that is why Joshua have to warn the people of Israel to keep their distance from the ark when the ark of the covenant was in front of them directing them in the way they should go.
Giving orders to the people: “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the Levitical priests carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. Then you will know which way to go since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about two thousand cubits between you and the ark; do not go near it. (Joshua 3:3-4)
And no one also dare to look into the ark of the covenant, those that attempted, was struck down by the Lord to serve as a warning to others.
He struck down some of the men of Beth-shemesh because they had looked into the ark of the Lord. He struck down of all the people, 50,070 men, and the people mourned because the Lord had struck the people with a great slaughter. (1 Samuel 6:19)
Now that you know how powerful, the power behind the ark of the covenant is, you need to invite it, in every department of your life to fight for you. Let it go before you and direct you. Let it fight your battles and those that are monitoring you, and looking at every movement you make, let struck them and those after all your endeavors let the power behind the ark of the covenant rumble against them in Jesus name.
Prayer Point:
1. Oh heaven open, and let the rumbling of the ark of the covenant begin to rumble against every power fighting against me.
2. Oh ark of the covenant go before me and give me victory.
3. Power looking into my destiny and star, let the power behind the ark of the covenant strike them.
4. Any power trying to touch me for evil. Oh ark of the covenant fall against them in Jesus name
