The Lord Hands was Heavy

 

DO YOU KNOW THAT THE LORD’S HAND WAS HEAVY WITH THE PEOPLE OF ASHDOD?  

1Sam 5:6. 

 

The Lord’s hand was heavy on the people of Ashdod and its vicinity; he brought devastation on them and afflicted them with tumors.   

Someone would be wondering why the Lord’s hand is heavy upon the people of Ashdod? What did they do? What was their offense to warrant this harsh judgment from God?  It was because they took what belong to the children of Israelites and place it beside their altar, the Dagon temple. It is a big let-down to our almighty God, the God of the heavens. 

Of all places to put the Ark of the Lord, that they captured is Dagon’s temple for what reasons? To humiliate the children of the Israelites and to humiliate the God of the Israelites. To hail their own god, Dagon, for giving them victory. And that provoked God to an extreme. And the Lord decided to deal with them. 

And you know, the bible said that God cannot be mocked. That is why the Lord furiously released His heavy hand against their gods named Dagon and the entire vicinity. 

Someone will ask. What is so significant about this ark of the Lord, that made the Philistines capture it? It was the glory of Israel, the hope of Israel, the powerful word of God that was guarding the children of Israelites.   That was what the Philistines captured, from the Israelites to punish them or make ridicule and mockery them. But God averted it. Because the bible said that the word of the Lord is fire and a hammer that breaks the rock to pieces.  “Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces? (Jer 23:29) 

So, because the word of the Lord is a hammer, Then, the Lord humiliated and destroyed Dagon the gods of the Philistines (remember what was inside the ark of the Lord is the ten commandments which was the word of God given to Moses in Mount Sinai). First, make it to bow before the ark of God, secondly breaking the head of Dagon and both arms of Dagon, thirdly, He released his heavy hand on the entire vicinity and inflicted them with tumors.  

 

After the Philistines had captured the ark of God, they took it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. Then they carried the ark into Dagon’s temple and set it beside Dagon. When the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! They took Dagon and put him back in his place. But the following morning when they rose, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! His head and hands had been broken off and were lying on the threshold; only his body remained. That is why to this day neither the priests of Dagon nor any others who enter Dagon’s temple at Ashdod step on the threshold. The Lord’s hand was heavy on the people of Ashdod and its vicinity; he brought devastation on them and afflicted them with tumors.  (1Sam 5:1-6) 

He gave them the humiliation they wanted to give to the children of the Israelites, and they became the object of ridicule with affliction and painful tumors, not the  Israelites. 

Now,  let’s look at the story in our everyday lives, a lot of our destinies are in the temple of one Dagon or the other. Our marriages, our children’s destinies, health, academics, jobs, wives, husbands, or anything you can think of, one will be wondering how is it possible for our pictures to be in any temples of Dagon, When they your pictures or any items or that belong to you are in the their temple you are already there in the realm of the spirit.  

And one of the strongest instruments that the enemies usually used to get our spirits to the Dagon's temple is our pictures. Pictures are always the easiest images of our lives that the enemies can download and take to their altars, because it can be easily downloaded from any social media platform.  and that is why you need to pray always that any of your pictures or images that are already in their altars or temples of Dagon's should be removed by the angels of the most high God.  

Because, if we don’t pray for the heavy hand of the Lord to come upon them, then whatever reason that they took that image of ours to their altars will start manifesting in our lives. And when it does, it will not be good at all.  

So, we need to pray to stop them before they truncate us. 

Prayer points: 

Lord, I pray that what the enemy has taken from me and placed in their altars, may your heavy hand locate their altars by fire and destroy it, and bring back our glory. 

And may anything representing in any temples of Dagon be consumed by fire in Jesus name. Say a big amen.
